9/19 Virginia High School XC Top 50 Fastest 5K Times

By no means is the 5K course for the William & Mary Invitational considered a speedway, but West Springfield junior Caroline Alcorta made it look like one this past Saturday. After being challenged and pushed much of the race by Cave Spring's Katie Fortner, Alcorta pulled away to win with the state's fastest 5K time of the season at 18:20. A list of the current top 50 fastest 5K times so far in the 2012 cross country season is found below.
