Trinity junior Molly Breidenbaugh has established herself quickly as the top private school runner in Virginia after transferring over to Trinity Episcopal School during the summer from Hanover High School for academic reasons. Breidenbaugh won earlier in the season at the Fork Union Invitational, which featured one of the top returning private school runners in Madison Hunter of St. Anne's-Belfield. Despite having difficulty with her asthma at the Oatlands Invitational, Breidenbaugh was still able to finish ahead of returning Virginia Independent Schools Division 1 state champion Devin Nihill of Bishop O'Connell with fifth place finish.
