Loudoun County as a whole is known for its horse farms, great schools, future Silver Line access, and of course distance running. It has seen multiple Foot Locker National Champions, multiple sub four milers, and most recently back-to-back NXN champions. Simply put, it is a distance hotbed of talent.

Last year we saw Sam Affolder run 14:59 and just a few years ago Drew Hunter went 14:20 on the same course. If you are going to break 15 this could be the place to do it.
She has had multiple close calls and two runner-up finishes at States so she is definitely putting herself in the right position and leaving it all out on the course/track.

This year's Foot Locker South race is one of the most anticipated races of the season. Though states does mean a lot, it is truly something special to qualify to Foot Locker Nationals.

He is consistent and fast and this year you can almost guarantee he will be focused on improving from his 12th place finish at Foot Locker a year ago.
Mostly anyone who knows Joe would tell you the same thing, he is a beast.
His personal best is 15:08 and it goes without saying that his goal is to break 15 this season.
While all eyes are on Loudoun Valley this season, don't miss Western Albemarle who have some of the strongest runners in the nation. One of those runners, Jack Eliason, is our fourth ranked runner heading into the cross country season. He enters the season with a personal best of 15:29.
Our number two pre-season runner is Rachel Mudd of Atlee. She enters the season having run 17:44 and with a major title under her belt, the MileStat.com XC Invite. She did however face some injuries since then and that is why she is number two.
