Meet Information
CNU will be hosting a High School season opener on Friday, August 31st at Bells Mill Park in Chesapeake, VA. Because it is an early-season meet we will be putting the focus on it being a FUN event! Exact details will come later, but for now:
~4-5pm start time
Two race options:
o A 1.5M coed chase race
o A two-person 1.5M relay
Entire 1.5M loop visible, and easy access to speak with your athletes multiple times
Music playing
College meet to follow immediately after HS races
Working on other fun aspects to the meet (i.e. popsicle social afterward while watching college race)
Other quick notes:
Great way to kick off Memorial Day Weekend
In the chase race, we will start two waves of each gender, roughly one minute apart: JV girls, Varsity Girls, JV Boys, Varsity boys. So your faster athletes will have a chance to catch/pass people.
Coaches will be allowed to enter athletes in both races to turn this into a 2x1.5M workout day.
Please e-mail me of your schools interest in our meet, and I am excited to provide this opportunity for you and your athletes to kick off the season, and to see a collegiate meet as well!
