Liberty District Cross-Country Format

Where: Burke Lake Park
When: Wednesday, October 24th 2012
Times: Boys- 4:15 Girls- 4:45
Awards: Plaque and 15 patches for the winning team (boys and girls)

Championship: The winner of the Liberty District Cross-Country Meet is declared the Liberty District Champion (Boys & Girls)
Regional Qualifying: The top 4 teams and top 15 individual from each race will qualify for the Northern Region Meet
Numbers: All participants must wear numbers on the front of their shirts. Packets may be picked up from the scorers table. Each runner will have two chips, one to be worn on each shoe. In accordance with National Federation Rules, the chips will be the primary determinant of finish place.
Finish: a 150-foot chute will be used. Finish position and numbers will be given to the contestants at the end of the chute. Runners should turn in their finish cards to their coach. Coaches will collect the numbers, total the lowest five onto the tally sheet and return all place cards with the tally sheet to the scorers table
Coaches Meeting: Participating team coaches will meet with the tournament director at 3:30pm at the awards table for a coaches meeting
Course: 2.98 miles with a variety of surfaces including dirt trails, grass and pavement
Awards: Presentation of awards will take place as soon as the official meet results are available
Locker&Restrooms: There will be no locker facilities available. Restrooms are located at the marina, one-half mile from the starting line. Teams are responsible for clean-up of their own warm-up areas in the park. Everyone must stay off of the fence and outside of the golf course area.
