Midlothian coach Stan Morgan probably wishes that he got the opportunity to work with senior distance runner Tessa Riley more than just one year. The feeling is clearly mutual from Riley. After moving all the way from Missouri for her senior year after her father's job transferred him and the family to the Richmond area, Riley has really shined and excelled almost instantly once becoming a member of the storied Midlothian girls' cross country and distance track running program under Coach Morgan.
Midlothian senior Tessa Riley's 3:02.18 1000 meter run was the last meet record set in the final Central Region Indoor Track & Field Championships. Meanwhile, the Manchester boys and Cosby girls from the Dominion District claimed the team titles this past weekend at the Arthur Ashe Center in Richmond.
