6th Annual Pole Vault Summit

We would like to invite you to the 6th annual Fluvanna County High School Pole Vault Summit. The meet will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at Fluvanna County High School. The meet is open to all high school vaulters and there is no entry limit. Please e-mail your entries to Tom Casto at tcasto@apps.fluco.org as soon as possible to let us know if you will be able to attend.

GUIDELINES FOR FLYING FLUCOS POLE VAULT SUMMIT
Entries: Unlimited entries per school. All athletes are required to be accompanied by a coach in order to compete. Please e-mail the names of your vaulters and their opening height to Tom Casto at tcasto@apps.fluco.org by midnight Wednesday, May 8th.
Entry Fees: $5 per athlete.
Make checks payable to FCHS Track.
Walk-in entries the day of the meet are welcome.
Entry Deadline: Please submit entries by Wednesday, May 8th, 2013.

Awards: A trophy will be awarded to the top boy and girl in the elite competition.
Facilities: There are restrooms facilities available at the track, the high school will be off limits.
Concessions: No concessions will be available.
Format: The meet will be divided into 4 sections. There will be a JV and Elite section for girls and boys.
Schedule: 9:30 Runway opens
10:00 Girls Elite competition begins
Opening height is 80
Bar moves up in 6 increments
At the completion of the Girls Elite, Boys Elite will have a 30 min warm-up period
Boys Elite competition begins
Opening height is 110
Bar moves up in 6 increments
At the completion of the Boys Elite, Girls JV will be given a 45 min warm-up period
Girls JV competition begins
Opening height is 50
Bar moves up in 6 increments
At the completion of the Girls JV, Boys JV will be given a 45 minute warm-up period
Boys JV competition begins
Opening height is 70
Bar moves up in 6 increments
