With such a tight time schedule and the eventual rerun of the final 4x400 MileStat was unable to get as many video interviews with state champions as we would have liked. To counteract that we are conducting a few interviews this week with some of the 3A/4A state champions.

Anyone who attended these meets would no doubt say they were very entertaining and exciting all the way through. Despite this new “watered-down” format it seemed that the competition was better and that the team titles were much better competitions.

Coverage central for all 5 VHSL State Indoor Track & Field Championship meets to be contested over the week. MileStat.com will have on-site coverage at all of the state meets contested at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton and Liberty University's Tolsma Track Center in Lynchburg.
Wow. That is the only word that can describe this classification’s team title race. We at MileStat utilized both the virtual meet function and actually scored the performance list out and have projected that E. C. Glass will win the state title by a single point over Phoebus who will place second by a single point over Nansemond River. All three of these schools however have realistic shots at winning this title and each of these teams will pick their respective points in different fashions.
Taking the performance list and scoring it as a meet, MileStat.com can generate a fairly accurate team score projection for the teams slated to compete at the Group 4A State Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday at Liberty University's Tolsma Track Center in Lynchburg.
This meet’s three favorites will pick up their respective points in very different places and at different times throughout the meet but at the end will likely race in the final two events for the title.

Virtual meet indoor track & field rankings for each of the two regions for the VHSL Group 4A classification. King George middle distance runner Miranda Green could be a force on the track this year at the Group 4A indoor and outdoor state championship meets. Green had a strong 5:20 1600m/3:10 1000m double two weeks on Fork Union's 160 meter indoor track.

Louisa County's Raeshawn Bishop figures to be one of the top individual point scorers at the VHSL Group 4A State Indoor Championships later this season at Liberty University as a contender in the long jump and triple jump as well as a top performer on the track.
A list of Group 4A state indoor automatic qualifiers as of December 18th. Hanover senior Taylor McCormick achieved a new personal best mark of 35'6" to finish second in the triple jump at the CNU Winter Frolic this past Friday and automatically qualify her for the VHSL Group 4A State Indoor Championships at Liberty University later this season.
The championship season meet auto standards for upcoming 2013-2014 indoor track & field season have been released on November 20th by the VHSL and are based on the average of the 8th best season performance over the last 6 years from the schools assigned to each Conference, Region, and State classification. This is how the State Meet standards were determined when we first began using qualifying standards. The data was obtained from the MileStat.com database.
