VA Association USATF Junior Olympics MileSplit Staff Jun 19, 2007

A decent number of Virginia high school athletes competed in this past weekend's Virginia Association USATF Junior Olympic Championships at Sports Backers Stadium. Landstown sophomore Marlena Wesh was one of the top high school performers as she swept the sprints in the intermediate girls age group division with wins in the 100 (12.01), 200 (25.28, 25.24 prelims), and 400 (56.82) meter dashes. Her 100 and 400 meter times were personal best performances for Wesh. The USATF regional championships will be held on July 12th through July 15th once again at Sports Backers Stadium as athletes from all over the Southeast will be converging in Richmond to determine who makes it to the USATF National Junior Olympics to be held at Mt. Sac in California. MileStat.com will be on-site at USATF Region III Championships.   VA Association USATF Junior Olympic Championships - Complete Results
