Meet Information

Dear Coach,

                 We hope you will want to be part of the 19th Fork Union Invitational. This year's field is limited to 50 schools. We are excited to announce that this year's meet will be run on a new surface that will allow spikes to be worn.

                 Enclosed is a list of guidelines that we ask you to follow. Also included are an order of events and a list of past champions. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the numbers listed below. Coaches who wish to enter using Hy-tek Lite should email me at brownw@fuma.org. MEET GUIDELINES

1. ONE ENTRY PER EVENT IS PERMITTED, TWO IF BOTH MEET THE MINIMUM STANDARD. PERFORMANCES MUST BE DOCUMENTED.

2. ENTRY DEADLINE IS JANUARY 8TH. NO CHANGES ARE PERMITTED AFTER ENTRIES HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED. NO REFUNDS UNLESS THE MEET IS CANCELLED.

3. CUSTOM MEDALS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TOP SIX INDIVIDUALS IN EACH EVENT INCLUDING RELAYS. TROPHIES WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TOP THREE TEAMS IN BOTH GIRLS AND BOYS COMPETITION. THERE WILL ALSO BE FOUR M.V.P. AWARDS GIVEN OUT.

4. ALL CAMPUS BUILDINGS ARE OFF LIMITS. COMPETITIORS CAUGHT IN BARRACKS OR CLASSROOM BUILDINGS WILL BE EXCUSED FROM THE MEET.

5. PLEASE DO NOT BRING ATHLETES AND STUDENTS, WHO ARE NOT COMPETING IN THE MEET.

6.  PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE BOTH SIDES  OF THE CAMPUS INCLUDING BEHIND THE ESTES CENTER. WE WILL ALLOW BUSES TO DROP OFF ATHLETES AT THE ESTES CENTER AND THEN PARK IN THE ASSIGNED ARES. SIGNS WILL BE IN PLACE TO DIRECT ALL VEHICLES.

7. T-SHIRTS AND CONCESSIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE.

CHECK IN PROCEDURE –

ATHLETES MAY CHECK IN UNTIL 5 MINUTES AFTER FIRST CALL.

SEEDING WILL BE DONE ON SECOND CALL. A LIST OF HEATS WILL BE POSTED IN THE BULLPEN AREA. ATHLETES SHOULD REPORT TO THE BULLPEN AREA AT THIRD CALL.





 

ENTRY FEES

 

$ 10 DOLLARS PER ATHLETE ENTERED UP TO 15 ATHLETES, AFTER 15 FEE REMAINS 150.00

RELAYS- $20.00 per team unless more than 15 athletes are entered ( example-Lindy Bain enters 2 athletes in the 3200, 2 in the pole vault and 2 in the 1600 for a total of 6 athletes. He also enters the 4x800 so his total is $80.00.) Jerry Cutright enters 35 athletes and three relays so his fee is $150.00. These fees include both boys and girls meaning 3 boys and two girls equals $50.00.

FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE UNLESS MEET IS CANCELLED.

ENTRY FEE IS DUE ON DECEMBER 15TH TO HOLD YOUR TEAM'S SPOT IN THE MEET.

ENTRIES ARE DUE JANUARY 8TH, 2008
