VHSL Class 5/6 State Outdoor T&F Championships 2019

For the first time ever, you will be able to watch all seven state meets live on the MileSplit network. 

Defending outdoor state champion Jacob Westerfield is back from injury and qualified for the state meet.

MileStat.com and MileSplit are excited to announce the streaming of all six VHSL state championships May 31st and June 1st. 

Here are the current forecasts (10 days out) for the VHSL State Outdoor Championships. 

Nothing, outside of maybe winning an olympic gold medal, can truly compare to winning that first state title. 

Here are our 10 locks, 10 toss-ups and 10 dark horses heading into the state championships weekend. Check them out on the following pages and let us know which races or events we are missing. You can also watch these events live on the MileSplit network all weekend! 

Her season best times of 11.60 and 23.11 rank VA #5 and VA #2 all-time! 

One guy pushing for that clearance is Briar Wood's Aidan Clark. He enters the state meet with a 6-10.5 best on the season.

Enough of the previews, here we put our name on the line and pick every single state title up for grabs this weekend.

Riverbend senior Jaren Holmes is coming for all the points this weekend. He enters the Group 6 Championships as the favorite in both the long and triple jumps and also as a contender in the high jump as well. Indoors he won both horizontals and finished 4th in the high to tally up 25 points.

Friday's events at Class 5/6 did not disappoint. They were so good in fact that over the course of the four 4x8 finals, it took only 4.6 seconds to decide all three races with one coming down to a photo finish.  You can check out the races below. 

In day one's competition that same dynasty saw the Titans take home 23 points in the girls discus.

Arguably the biggest performance from States this past weekend was actually three performances by Riverbend senior Jaren Holmes.

The Warriors of Nansemond River held on Saturday to make it a sweep of titles for defending champions.
