Photo by Ted Plunkett Glenvar has had a rich history of producing great female distance runners with the likes of multiple Foot Locker finalist Trish Nervo and multiple state champion Kelly Clark being trained by Coach Myers at the small Southwest Virginia school. History seems to be repeating itself at Glenvar with junior Megan Marsico now emerging as one of the state's very best in cross country, especially after two sensational performances last weekend when she broke 17 minutes for three miles at the Giles County Invite and then defeated a field of highly ranked AAA and AA runners in complete domination with a 18:01 meet record time at the Knights Crossing Invite.
