2021 Class 6 Region B Indoor Track and Field Championship

    ALL FIELD EVENTS ARE ON TUESDAY FEBRUARY 9, 2021 at Colgan High School 

    ALL RUNNING EVENTS ARE ON SATURDAY FEBRUARY 13, 2021 at Freedom High School, Woodbridge.

    PLEASE ADHERE TO ALL COVID-19 SAFTEY PROTOCOLS-HJ-PV Competitors must supply their own tarps.

    1.0 Qualifying for the Region B Championship Meet

    1.1 The top (6) individuals and the top (3) relays from each district advance to the Region B Meet.ATHLETES CAN ONLY ADVANCE TO THE REGION B CHAMPIONSHIP THROUGH COMPETING IN THEIR RESPECTIVE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP MEET.Please refer to the note regarding the Cedar Run District.

    Note: The Cedar Run District is not holding a district championship meet. In lieu of holding a championship meet; a district performance was created and maintained throughout the season.All Cedar Run District Tri-Meets were FAT'ed.The top (6) individuals and top (3) relays including ties will advance.All performances were verified by Mike Feldman and each meet director.

    1.2Entries for the Region B Championship Meet mayuse the best performance attained in a district tri-meet if the only athletehas qualified as a top 6 placer; top 3 relay in the District Meet in or fromthe Cedar Run District Master Performance List. This is consistent with pastyear's protocols and is used for seeding purposes only.

    PERFORMANCES ATTAINED IN CLUB SANCTIONED MEETS ARE NOT PERMITTED. If a club sanctioned meet performance is used; they will be deleted from entry.It is the coach's responsibility to ensure that all entries are accurate, verified and meet VHSL requirements.

    2.0 Entering the Region B Championship Meet

    2.1 All entries will be done on milestat.Please make sure your rosters are up-to-date and names are spelled correctly.

    2.2 Meet Password: REGB21

    2.3  FIELD EVENT ENTRIES MUST BE COMPLETED BY MONDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2021 BY 6:00pm

            Running Event Entries must be completed by 6:00 pm on Tuesday February 9, 2021.

    After this time entries will be closed. Please, make sure your District Meet results have been posted on milestat before you do your entries.

    2.4 THERE IS NO STRATCH MEETING.YOUR ENTRIES ARE DECLARED ONCE THE DEADLINE CLOSES.ENTER THIS CHAMPIONSHIP SO THAT YOUR ENTRIES ARE LEGAL.

    2.5 THE PERFORMANCE LIST WILL POSTED Wednesday February 10, 2021 by 4:00pm.

    2.6 THE SEEDED MEET PROGRAM WILL BE POSTED ON Thursday February 11, 2021 by4:00pm.

    2.7The DeclarationRule is in effect.For example; you may enter an athlete in the 55m, 300m, and 4 x 400m, if you scratch the athlete from the 300m they may still run the 4 x 400m but you cannot add them to another event. If you are un-sure please contact me.However, if you enter an athlete in 4 running events plan on scratching during the meet that will not work and the athlete will be deleted from the last events.

    2.8 Rules: 2020 edition National Federation Rule Book and the 2020-21 edition of VHSLHandbook

    2.9 Fill out all slots for your relays and on your relay cards.

    2.10 Scoring:10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

    3.0 Qualifying for the Class 6 State Championship Meet

    3.1 The top (3) individuals and the top (3) relays qualify for the Class 6 StateChampionship Meet on Monday March 1, 2021 @ VA Beach Sports Center1045 19th Street VA-B,VA 23451

    3.2 Please follow the guidelines for entering you athletes in the State Meet.

    3.3 Dave Davis and Mike Feldman will verify state meet entries.

    4.0 Meet Management

    Long Jump: Forest Park and Unity Reed

    Triple Jump: Gar-Field and Osbourn

    Shot Put: Hylton and Potomac

    Relay Umpires: Freedom, Riverbend,

    Battlefield, and Massaponax

    Check-In:Osbourn Park and Patriot

    Awards: Battlefield, Freedom, and Colonial Forge

    (2) per school; put medals in envelopers

    5.0 Awards:

    5.1 Championship Trophy and Runner-Up per gender

    5.2 Medals for the top three (3) Individuals and top three (3) RelaysChampionship Patches awarded to theChampion Team.

    Award envelopes can be picked up at the conclusion of the meet

    Round 1 of Field Events:11:30amRound 2 begins 30 minutes after 1st round is completed.

    Girls' High Jump (Opening HT4-02.00) followed by Boy's High Jump (Opening HT 5-04)

    Bar will advance 2" until (2) competitors remain in the field.
