7:30 a.m. Course opens for teams to walk

8:45 a.m. Coaches' Meeting - Baseball Stadium bleachers

9:15 a.m. Middle School Girls' race (unlimited entries)

9:55 a.m. Middle School Boys' race (unlimited entries)

10:30 a.m. Grades 4 - 6 open 2-mile race

11:00 a.m. Grades 1 - 3 open 1-mile race11:30 a.m. Awards Ceremony - Baseball infield

Awards:Medals for top 20

places in both middle school races

Plaques

for top three teams in each division

Medals for top seven runners on each placing team

Medals for top 3 places for boys & girls in each open

grade level

Entry

Fees:
$80.00 (or $10.00 per runner if

entering individual athletes)

$5.00 for

grade 1-6 open races (must complete pre-registration form, no race-day
entries!)

from your school.To get to the baseball

stadium, continue on Apple Pie Ridge past the high school's main entrance, and

the stadium will be another 400 meters on your left.

Parking:All buses, mini-vans, and

spectators must park in the Apple Pie Ridge student lot. DO NOT park in the two church lots indicated on the map.Overflow parking is available at JWHS and a

short path will lead you to the event area.

bleachers at 8:40 AM.PLEASE BE PROMPT.

Dressing

Facilities:
There will be no dressing facilities

available, so please dress prior to departure.Restrooms are available at the baseball stadium.

Water:Please bring your

own water coolers and cups or bottles.

T-Shirts:2021 James Wood Invitational

t-shirts and other merchandise will be sold at the meet and are printed on-site

by American Screen Printing.

Entry

Deadline:
Monday,

October 4
for middle school teams. Open race participants must also pre-register by

Monday, October 4. Please be prompt

with entries.

Entering

athletes:
We will use online entries and you can

access the link and full directions using the Milestat event calendar link.Please

include athlete's year in school. Entry code will be sent to all competing teams.

Entry Fee:Please mail entry fee by October 1 or bring with

you to the meet.

Chip Timing:Chip timing will be provided by Shenandoah

Valley Runners. Please be sure chips are securely attached to each runner's

shoe.Coaches are asked to collect all

team chips and return them to the press box area as soon as possible after the

race. If any chips are lost, the school will be contacted and charged for the

chip.
