Meet Information
I am writing to let you know that the venue for the 2009 Dogwood Track Classic has been changed from UVa to Monticello High School. UVa has a televised ACC baseball game and can't host both events on 4/25. So, in an effort to avoid disrupting other track meets around the state, we have decided to change the venue for just this one year rather than the date. MHS has an 8 lane championship track and wonderful facility, so it will still be a great environment and we expect fast times again this year. This is an exciting opportunity because Monticello will greatly improve our ability to accommodate a meet of this size. Additionally, we will have lights and will not have the time restrictions we have at UVa.
The change of venue will allow us to offer even more to athletes and coaches and we are excited about this opportunity. The Dogwood committee will be meeting Monday 3/23 to finalize these details. All information will be posted on our website: www.dogwoodtrackclassic.com.
