Your boys' and girls' cross country teams are cordially invited to one of Virginia's

premier invitationals at Woodberry Forest School.

 Date of Invitational: Friday, September 30, 2022

 Location: Woodberry Forest School has one entrance located 4 miles north of Orange, Va. on Route 15.  

 Course: Predominantly on the Woodberry Forest Golf Course, an alternating VISAA State Championship site. Start line will be on the fourth fairway. Finish line will be behind the Barbee Center. The 5K course is almost entirely on grass.  Flats or spikes are suitable. Maps will be available on race day. Allow 45 minutes for a course tour. 

 Starting Times:

 4:00 p.m. Varsity Girls' Race:  5000 meters

Awards: Tray to winning and runner-up teams;

Cup to winning individual; 

T-shirts to top 20 finishers

Entries:  Maximum 12

4:30 p.m. Varsity Boys' Race:5000 meters

 5:00 p.m. JV Girls' Race:5000 Meters

Awards: T-shirts to top 20 finishers

Entries: Maximum 12 

 5:30 p.m. JV Boys' Race:  5000 meters

Awards:  T-shirts to top 20 finishers

Entries:  Maximum 12

4:30 p.m. Varsity Boys' Race: 5000 meters

Awards: Tray to winning and runner up teams;

Cup to winning individual;

T-shirts to top 20 finishers

Entries: Maximum 12

Registration:  Register your team on Milestat by midnight on Monday, September 26, 2022.

Entry Fee:  $175.00 for each school.

Cancellation

Policy: Rain or shine, the race will be contested, but Woodberry Forest

reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule the event if necessary

(e.g. for safety reasons) with no refunds.

 Course

Viewing: The course will be open on the day of the race, starting at 2:00 p.m.

Facilities: Locker rooms and showers will not be available.  All

competitors are asked to arrive at the course dressed. Porta-Johns will be

behind the Barbee Center, near the Finish Line. 

Tents: May be set up behind the Barbee Center. They may not be set up on or near the golf

course or baseball field.

Check-in:  No later than 3:30 PM at the tent behind the Woodberry Forest

Barbee Center near the Finish Line.

Special

Requests and Rules:

• Athletes must be wearing their official school uniforms. 
• Each school must have a representative at the finish line during races.
• EVERYONE must stay away from all tee boxes, sand traps, and greens.
• The main campus at the top of the hill is off limits.  No one should be beyond the golf course.

 Parking: Buses and vans should be parked as directed by Woodberry personnel on site. No vehicles will be

permitted to go past the Barbee Center. 

Medical Policy: The top priority of our medical staff is to respond to life

threatening medical emergencies. Minor injuries (scrapes, cuts,

sprains, etc.) will be treated after serious injuries have been treated.  

The First Aid tent will be behind the Barbee Center, near the Finish Line. Please report any accidents or illnesses

there.
