As of October 8th, we have a total of 973 athletes entered in the meet representing 33 different schools (high school, middle school, & individuals). The meet is full and no long accepting any new schools.
The revival of the MileStat.com Cross Country Invitational! Its been six years since the last cross country invitational was hosted by MileStat.com. A lot has changed since then. First off, the meet director Brandon Miles is no longer a current athlete himself as he hosted the first two MileStat.com XC Invitationals while still in high school and the last one in 2003 as a freshmen in college at CNU. Now coaching at Clover Hill, Miles has hosted a series of successful track meets over the past few years including the four year running MileStat.com Elite Gala and most recent addition of the MileStat.com Track Classic last April.
The time of the year and venue should prove this event to be a place to come to run fast times to build confidence heading into championship season racing as they near their district meets within two weeks of the meet. The new Pocahontas State Park 5K course has proven to be a very fast course and host for the Dominion District Championships in the past few seasons as can be seen with the time differences from the district course to the regional course at Pole Green Park.
It is a legit 5K course, which runs fast primarily due to a flat first and final mile and a second mile which is mainly downhill or flat with the exception of a 400 meter hill heading into the two mile mark.
We hope you decide to join us for the revival of this event as we expect some fast times and great competition at the meet.

2009 MileStat.com Cross Country Invitational
Date - Saturday, October 17th
Location - Pocahontas State Park. Located at 10301 State Park Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
Host School - Clover Hill High School in Midlothian, VA.
Sanctioned - Sanctioned by the VHSL for in-state schools only.
Course - An accurate and well marked 5K course (every 400 meters is marked with permanent stake and sign of current distance). Spikes are recommended on this course with only one short road crossing that is repeated twice with the rest of the course either grass or crushed dirt/gravel trails.
