Counting Down The Top 10 Track Stars

#10 Hasani Knight

If you need to know one male jumper's name in VA this year, the guy to know is Hasani Knight. He is going to have his hands full with Gary Williams of Western Branch but it is Hasani who enters the season ranked #1 in the entire nation based on his outdoor pr of 50-11.

He has finished as the 6A runner-up three times and 3rd place another two times in both the long and triple jumps. Interestingly enough, he has yet to win a state title despite this very great personal best.

That is going to change this season and it looks like he is going to use that fuel him heading into this year's post-season.

He will not have anything just given to him as he is in the same region as Gary Williams who is also one of the top jumpers in the nation and that combination should elevate both of them to US #1 and US #2 from the start of the season.

Hasani has good speed and a great jumping ability and this year looks to be a huge one for him.

His personal best of 50'-11" outdoors ranks third all-time and would rank seventh all-time indoors for VA. He will be chasing Keith Holley's 52'-7.5" national record set back in 1988.
