Counting Down The Top 10 Track Stars

#9 Gracie Jauch (LCA)

If you want to talk about up and coming talented athletes in Virginia, that list has to include Gracie. She is only a sophomore this year and already has 37 victories and two state championships. Both of those titles came in the pole vault for the 4A classification.

The Liberty Christian Academy athlete has acclimated quite well to the high school ranks and vaulted her way to #7 all-time outdoors and #11 all-time indoors. Those marks were 12-6 and 12-0.75. Her 12-6 outdoor performance from Conference 23's Championship Meet was a state class record for freshmen.

The last couple of years have seen a huge growth and strengthening in the girls' vault for Virginia and Gracie is leading the front in that stacked event. Though she is already at the top of the list, she could reach to the top of another list if she continues to improve.

She is currently only seven inches away from the state indoor record and nine inches away from the outdoor state record. She will need to vault 12-8.5 to hold the sophomore state record.
