Coverage
Finally we get to see nearly every team in the state in action, be that some of them ran out of state, and that meant a ton of coverage and great performances. Check out all our coverage and elite performances inside!
Andrew Hunter did it again! He lived up to his performance two weeks ago at Great Meadows and showed what he is capable of doing on a hilly course when he completely ran away with the title today winning in 15:21. Though Andrew now has two of the three triple crown races under his belt and on his trophy shelf, the real star of the show was Weini Kelati of Heritage (Leesburg) who completely ran away with the Varsity A girls race in 18:11.88. The thing that you don't know unless you were at the meet is that she stopped twice to tie her shoes en route to that. Yes, you read that correctly. She ran one of the fastest times in the entire state, on a honest course, while also stopping twice to tie her shoes!
Now this was a XC weekend! The state leaderboards were essentially rewritten and we got to see some of the best performances of the year both individually and team-wise. Though we got to see all of that, we want to hear what you think was the best performance of the weekend!
