Woodberry Forest 34rd Annual Cross Country Invitational
Date: April 20, 2010
Your boys and girls cross country teams are cordially invited to one of Virginias premier invitationals at Woodberry Forest School.
Date of Invitational: Saturday, September 18th, 2010.
Location: Woodberry Forest School has one entrance located 4 miles north of Orange, Va. on Route 15.
Course: VISAA State Championship Course on the Woodberry Forest Golf Course. Start line will be on the fourth fairway. Finish line will be behind the Barbee Center. The 5K course is almost entirely on grass. Flats or spikes are suitable. Maps will be available on race day. Allow 45 minutes for a course tour.

11:00 a.m. JV Girls Race : 5000 Meters
Awards : Ribbons to top 20 finishers
Entries : Unlimited
11:30 a.m. Varsity Girls Race : 5000 meters
Awards : Tray to winning and runner up teams; Cup to winning
individual; T-shirts to top 20 finishers
Entries : Maximum 15 (only 7 score)
12:00 p.m. JV Boys Race : 5000 meters
Awards : Ribbons to top 20 finishers
Entries : Unlimited
12:30 p.m. Varsity Boys Race : 5000 meters
Awards : Tray to winning and runner up teams; Cup to winning
individual; T-shirts to top 20 finishers
Entries : Maximum 15 (only 7 score)
CONFIRMATIONS: Please confirm by September 1, 2010
ENTRY FEES: $75.00 for each school.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Rain or shine, the Woodberry Forest Invitational will be contested. There will be no refunds due to inclement weather, acts of God, police or fire department closure, etc. The Woodberry Forest Cross Country Invitational reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule the event in the best interests of our participants with no refunds.
REGISTRATION: Rosters need to be emailed to BROWNW@fuma.org by Tuesday, Sept. 14th.
PRACTICE: The course will not be available for practice.
DRESSING: All competitors are asked to arrive at the course dressed. Lockers and towels will not be available.
Tents: May be set up behind the Barbee Center. They may not be set up on or near the golf course or baseball field.
CHECK IN:
* No later than 10:00 AM. Look for the tent and desk near the behind the Woodberry Forest Barbee Center
* ATHLETES- Athletes must be wearing and show their uniform.
* COACHES/ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL -All coaches must check in at the COACHES TENT to pick up their information. Each school must have a representative at the finish line.
PARKING: BUS DRIVERS-Buses and vans should be parked behind the Barbee Center or as directed by Woodberry personnel. No bus will be permitted to go up the hill past the Barbee Center. Please use this space so as not to congest the course.
MEDICAL POLICY: The top priority of our medical staff is to respond to life threatening medical emergencies. Non-life threatening/minor injuries (example: scraped knees, minor cuts, etc.) may be treated if resources are available and time allows. Serious injuries take precedence and will be treated first.
