VHSL Class 6
Heading into the Class 6 State meet there is just one sophomore favored to win a title and that is South County's Aly Conyers. She enters the weekend as the state leader for Class 6 in the 500m dash and thus also enters the race as the top seed.
She will have numerous girls challenging her for that title including Mary Gregory or South Lakes and defending champion Adriana Shockley of Western Branch. Shockley however is ranked 7th and will be in the heat before her. Time will be the name of the game in this race with the defending champion in a different section.
