It was a historic weekend of racing for Virginia down at NXR-SE. Leading the way for Virginia and the entire region was Allie Zealand (Pacers) who ran a blazing 16:34 to punch her ticket to NXN! Arguably just as impressive was the depth in the race for VA.
In total there were seven VA girls who broke 18 minutes in just one race.
Three VA athletes also qualified for NXN as individuals. Those individuals were Zealand, Reese Dalton, and Maddie Gardiner.
Team wise, West Springfield finished 5th overall and were the highest finishers from VA. W.T. Woodson finished 11th overall as well.
