A deserving award to be shared by two runners who will be representing the state of Virginia this weekend at Foot Locker Nationals at Balboa Park in San Diego, California.
Aurora Scott left the public school system at Western Branch High School after her freshmen year to attend a loosely affiliated independent school of Oaktree Academy, which has part of the instruction time being on a homeschool basis. A Foot Locker finalist last year as a freshmen, Scott has continued to improve in her sophomore season under the training of her father this fall. A 26th place finisher at last year\'s Foot Locker Nationals race, Scott will use the experience from her race last December to hopefully earn All-American honors individually.
