St. John Paul The Great's Ryan Wall is just one of many athletes who can now say they are a state champion. He gets this honor thanks to his 3200m victory at the VISAA State Championships last month.
Another big winner from last month and an athlete with one of the best comebacks was Jordyn Strange of Christ Chapel. This junior brought home the VISAA D2 state title in the 400m dash with her 59.72 time.

On the final day of New Balance Nationals Outdoor, records went down
Oscar Smith won the shuttle hurdle relay and Kurt Powdar won his second 110meter hurdles title in a row in state record fashion.
The quartet of Jones, Allen, Martin, and Jackson ran a blistering 1:30.55 to win the 800 meter sprint medley. They are VA's third relay national champions of the weekend and so far the only champions on Sunday.
The quartet of Gartasia Crawley (53), William Spencer (48), Alicia Thorpe (54), and Keyonte Midgett (48) won the mixed 4x4 relay.
