The VHSL State Cross Country Championships will be the center of attention this weekend for the entire Virginia running community. The meet features over 1,248 athletes from 215 teams all running on the historic Great Meadow state meet course. 

While almost a third of the state was running at one of the fastest and biggest meets of the regular season, the Milestat Invitational, 30 teams headed over to the Albemarle Invitational.

Top teams and individuals from PA and beyond will be at Carlisle on Saturday. It's going to be a huge meet once again.

This weekend was quite the weekend for VA XC with roughly 2/3 of the entire state in competition. Here are our top seven headlines from the weekend on the following pages. Check them out and go to our results hub to see the compete results of the season too.
