Inclement Weather Instructions: The forecast is for the possibility of rain showers with a slight chance a thunderstorm. If we do have inclement weather athletes will be directed to the Large A - Frame Pavilions near the playground. Follow signs towards the camp fire circle. Coaches will call buses from Queens Lake Middle School and students will board buses when they arrive (about a 7 minute drive) to wait for any thunder storms to pass. We plan on having the meet rain or shine!

Athlete Drop off, Bus Parking and Spectator Parking:
All athletes will be dropped off at the main parking lot in New Quarter Park. All buses will then park at Queens Lake Middle School.
Tents may be set up near the softball field or on the disc golf course. Please remember to keep the tents away from the course to allow plenty of space for spectators to view the races.
Directions to Queens Lake Middle School: Depart the park on Lakes head Drive and when it dead ends into West Queen Drive take a Right and Queens Lake Middle School is about 400 meters up on the left.
Spectator Parking will be located about 300m from the starting line. When Spectators drive in they will be directed to Park in the gravel parking lot. Handicap parking or parking for anyone who has difficulty with walking may park at the main parking lot in New Quarter Park.
Race Packet Pick up: Race packets may be picked up after 7:15AM at the basketball court near the start. Your packet will include all bib numbers and pins.
Race Fee:
Prior to race day unless prearranged with meet director.

Trainer: Trainer will be located near the finish line. If you have a medical emergency on your team please call 911 and then the Meet Director Mark Tompkins at 757 784-2281.
Water: Water will be available for athletes after exiting the finish line chute. Water bottles will also be sold in the basketball court area.
T-Shirt: Fine Designs will be selling t-shirts at our meet.
Timing: Colonial Sports will post results near the basketball court and they will be available online on milestat after the meet.
Restrooms: There will be 5 porta-potties near the basketball courts for athletes and spectators. There are two additional bathrooms located behind the basketball courts.
Awards: Top 2 teams in the Varsity Divisions races will receive plaques. Medals will be handed out as athletes finish.

From Interstate 64: Take exit 242B (Yorktown Colonial Parkway Water Country USA) to Rt. 199. Stay on Rt. 199 until the Colonial Parkway intersection. Enter Colonial Parkway towards Williamsburg (west). Exit the Colonial Parkway at the Queens Lake intersection. Turn right onto West Queens Drive for about 200 feet. Make an immediate left-hand turn onto Lakeshead Drive (the first street on the left) and follow this road until you reach the park entrance.
From Route 143: At the Rt. 143. Penniman Road traffic light (coming from Newport News), turn right onto Penniman Road (Magruder Elementary School is on the corner). Turn left onto Hubbard Lane (the first street on your left). After you go under the overpass, make an immediate right-hand turn onto Lakeshead Drive and follow this road until you reach the park entrance.

Welcome to the 2014 Big Cat Invite! This race is now open to public, private, middles school, elementary school, and the general public with separate races sanctioned by VHSL and USATF. Please come out and join us at a great Venue in New Quarter Park in Williamsburg, VA.
Additional Entry notes for correct race assignments and addition of JV divisions to meet registration to be added shortly.
When entering your entries into the different races please make sure to assign your athletes to the division they are going to run in. Varsity A, Varsity B, Boys and Girls (Up to 10 per Varsity race) Middle School and Elementary School races unlimited. JV Boys and Girls race unlimited.
On race day you will need your athletes to run in the races you assigned on milestat and this will be noted on the bib numbers you receive on race day. There will be no substitutions or additions on race day so please make sure entries are accurate when registration closes on October 4th.
This year we will host an elementary run as well as an open 5k for adults. We are happy to announce Colonial Sports of Williamsburg, VA will be timing our meet using the Jaguar Chip timing system!
We will also be having a DJ this year with music during races.

The 5000M course is located at New Quarter Park in Williamsburg, VA
The course is 95% on grass and 5% on dirt/gravel, 1/4 inch spikes are recommended.
The 5K is a double loop all grass course.
The 2.5K are 1 loop grass courses.
High School and Middle School races are entered by schools only at Milestat.com.
Open and Elementary races can be entered by mail and must arrive to Bruton High School by Friday, October 3rd. There is no race day registration.
Checks from high Sshools must arrive to Bruton no later then, Wednesday, October 7th.
Race day entry or checks will not be accepted.

**Open race, club HS athletes, and club Middle School and Elementary School athletes must send in either an entry form and individual check or a club check and individual entry forms for each athlete entered. They must be signed by a parent or legal guardian if under the age of 18.**

From Interstate 64: Take exit 242B (Yorktown Colonial Parkway Water Country USA) to Rt. 199.
Stay on Rt. 199 until the Colonial Parkway intersection. Enter Colonial Parkway towards Williamsburg (west). Exit the Colonial Parkway at the Queens Lake intersection. Turn right onto West Queens Drive for about 200 feet. Make an immediate left-hand turn onto Lakeshead Drive (the first street on the left) and follow this road until you reach the park entrance.
From Route 143: At the Rt. 143. Penniman Road traffic light (coming from Newport News), turn right onto Penniman Road (Magruder Elementary School is on the corner). Turn left onto Hubbard Lane (the first street on your left). After you go under the overpass, make an immediate right-hand turn onto Lakeshead Drive and follow this road until you reach the park entrance.
