The XC season has finally started. Starting things off in a big way were the Vikings of Loudoun Valley at the Great Meadow Invite. Check out the top 100 rankings here and follow along all season in this series to see how the leaderboard progresses.

This weekend's races at Great Meadow were very warm and decently fast for such an early date. 2014 state champion Heather Holt spoke to us about that and opening up earlier than she is used to doing. Check all the results merged together for Virginia athletes below.

Watch the varsity A boys race from the 2016 Great Meadow Invitational, which the Loudoun Valley tallied a low winning score of 37 points thanks to a 1-2 finish up from Peter Morris and Colton Bogucki coming across the line at virtually dead heat in 16:04.

Historically there have been just two meets on this course each year, the Great Meadow Invite to open the season and Octoberfest Invite the first weekend in October. Both of these meets have combined for the most accurate and all-encompassing pre-state preview ever. Here are the top 200 times ever run on this course according to the MileStat database.
