Where: Burke Lake Park, 7315 Ox Road, Fairfax Station, VA 22039
When: Wednesday, October 26, 2017
Rain Date: The rain date is October 27, 2016. In case of inclement weather the 6A North
Region Cross Country Director and Fairfax County Parks and Recreation will make the
decision to postpone the race.
Time: Girls 3:30 Boys 4 pm
Pre-season: TBD
Entry forms: All entries should be received by Nancy Melnick, Director of Student Activities at Fairfax HS no later than Friday, October 21, 2016 on VHSL entry form and must be entered in www.milestat.com Entry forms can be found www.vhsl.org
Parking: All participants and patrons should park in parking lot "A" located near the small train.
Course: 3.0 miles, mostly on grass.
Race Bibs/Chips: All participants will wear race bibs on the front of their singlet. The bibs along with chips for both shoes, and other official materials will be distributed to coaches at the scorer's table by the finish line. Please collect your materials when you arrive at Burke Lake Park.
Qualifiers: The top 4 teams (Girls and Boys) and the top 15 overall finishers will qualify for the 6A
North Region Meet on November 2, 2016 (Boys at 2:30pm and Girls 3pm)
Awards: A team plaque will be awarded to the team champion along with patches. Individual
medals will be given to the top 15 finishers.
Award Presentation of awards will take place as soon as official meet results are available.

Lockers &
Restrooms: There will be no locker room facilities available. Rest rooms are located at the Marina, one-half mile from the starting line. Teams are to clean their own areas in the park.
