Course Location: New Market Battlefield, I 81, Exit 264 New Market, Va

Directions to New Market Battlefield:

From I-81, take Exit #264 and follow US 211 west for 0.1 miles under the interstate then make the first right after the southbound exit ramp, if South bound from I-81, take Exit #264 you will make the first immediate right turn.

Once you go through the park entrance gate you will make an immediate right hand turn toward the Bushong House.  Continue past the house and you will see the event area. Please remember the park speed limit is 10 mph

Ten allowed in Male and Female Varsity Races

Unlimited in Developmental Race (grades 9-12 per VHSL ruling for 1A- 6A schools)

NO JV/MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION



Coaches do not have to declare athletes' events until the meet day.


Additional Notes: Schools will be divided into either the Stars & Stripes divisions: 

Independents, 1A & 2A will be Stars,  3A-6A Stripes

Course available

Thursday afternoon until 6:30

Opens  Saturday morning at 7:45 am Course available for tour 



(athletes MUST use the North end of the course for warm-ups & cool-downs) Athletes will be disqualified from the meet if located in not event areas. 

8:45 Coaches Meeting @ the finish line

All races will be run 10 minutes after the last runner finishes in the preceding race

Course: Boys-Girls-5,000 meters (Course is the same as last Year) Start in front of a fenced area and finish at the crest of the hill marked with finish line flags.

Awards to be held at the finish line area at the conclusion of the meet.



Parking: Buses and teams will be parked on the right-hand side of the event area near the port-a-johns. Spectators will be directed to the north field


Admissions: Admission fee of $ 5.00 per person VHSL PASSES only,

ALL VEHICLES MUST be parked in the event area.
