Last year was historically great for Team VA up at Franklin Field. We saw Drew Hunter come from behind to take the Mile and then Kate Murphy and Libby Davidson completely stole the show ran away from everyone in the 3K. In total VA had six top five individual finishes last year on top of our relay dominance. This year could be even bigger!

Not even kidding, VA could sweep these races. In the 400m Hurdles we could see an epic showdown between Johnson and Ross that we have been waiting on for years! These two rank #1 and #9 all-time at 300H for VA and could put on a show at Franklin Field.
In the Mile we finally get to see Rachel back in action. She has been on the mend throughout indoor season but despite not being 100% ran a blistering 4:51 indoors. She loves this track and knows how step it up when it matters and lets not forget actually has a killer kick. This kick is going to come in handy and she is going to run something fast and if the weather cooperates she could break 4:37!
In the 3K we are in for an even bigger show with National Record Holder at 5K indoors and three time national champion Weini Kelati. She is going after the national record in what is really her best event. Look for her to get out hard and hopefully hold on. She is going to have company on the elite side with Libby Davidson there as well. Libby almost out-kicked Kate Murphy last year as those two went 1-2.
