Your boys and girls cross country teams are cordially invited to one of Virginias premier invitationals at Woodberry Forest School.
Date of Invitational: Saturday, September 16, 2017
Location: Woodberry Forest School has one entrance located 4 miles north of Orange, Va. on Route 15.
Course: VISAA State Championship Course on the Woodberry Forest Golf Course. Start line will be on the fourth fairway. Finish line will be behind the Barbee Center. The 5K course is almost entirely on grass. Flats or spikes are suitable. Maps will be available on race day. Allow 45 minutes for a course tour.

9:00 a.m. Varsity Girls Race : 5000 Meters
Awards : T-shirts to top 20 finishers
Cup to winning individual
Tray to winning and runner up teams
Entries : Maximum 10
9:30 a.m. Varsity Boys Race : 5000 meters
Awards : Tray to winning and runner up teams;
Cup to winning individual;
T-shirts to top 20 finishers
Entries : Maximum 10
10:00 a.m. JV Girls Race : 5000 meters
Awards : T-shirts to top 20 finishers
Entries : Maximum 10
10:30 a.m. JV Boys Race : 5000 meters

Entry Fee: $175.00 for each school.
Cancellation Policy: Rain or shine, the race will be contested, but Woodberry Forest reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule the event if necessary (e.g. for safety reasons) with no refunds.
Registration: Registrar your team on milestat & email a copy of your roster to BROWNW@fuma.org by midnight on Tuesday, Sept 12th.

Course Viewing: The course will be open the morning of the race, starting at 8:00 AM.
Facilities: Locker rooms and showers will not be available. All competitors are asked to arrive at the course dressed. Porta-Johns will be behind the Barbee Center, near the Finish Line.
Tents: May be set up behind the Barbee Center. They may not be set up on or near the golf course or baseball field.
Special Requests and Rules:
Athletes must be wearing their official school uniforms.
Each school must have a representative at the finish line during races.
EVERYONE must stay away from of all tee boxes, sand traps, and greens.
The main campus at the top of the hill is off limits. No one should be beyond the golf course.
Food: Boys Scouts and Chick Fila will have tents
Parking: Buses and vans should be parked as directed by Woodberry personnel on site. No vehicles will be permitted to go past the Barbee Center.
Medical Policy: The top priority of our medical staff is to respond to life threatening medical emergencies. Minor injuries (scrapes, cuts, sprains, etc.) will be treated after serious injuries have been treated. The Medical Tent will be behind the Barbee Center, near the Finish Line. Please report any accidents or illnesses there.
