Hanover freshmen Molly Breidenbaugh finished 3rd in the varsity A girls race with a 5K PR time of 18:31.
Millbrook junior Crystal Nelson finished 2nd in the varsity A girls race with a 5K PR of 18:23.
Stafford sophomore Hannah Lowery won her 3rd major invite of the season with a 18:11 5K PR at Octoberfest.
Virtual meet preview for Saturday's Octoberfest Invitational at Great Meadow based on current season best 5K performances. Three of the top 7 ranked boys in the state of Virginia will be competing at Great Meadow including #3 Thomas Madden of Skyline, #4 Silas Frantz of Douglas Freeman, and #7 Seumas O'Reilly of Warren County. Gonzaga's Colin Leibold will attempt to spoil a second Great Meadow invite of having any in-state winners. Meanwhile, 8 top 25 ranked girls individuals will be featured at Maymont led by Great Meadow Invite champion Hannah Lowery of Stafford and Knights Crossing Invite champion Erica Dobbs of Deep Run. The VA #5 Riverbend and VA #6 Stafford boys will look to see if they can give Gonzaga College (DC) squad a better challenge after Gonzaga won the Great Meadow at the start of the season in convincing fashion. Oatlands Invite champs and VA #2 ranked Thomas Jefferson girls could win big, while VA #12 Langley, VA #13 Ocean Lakes, and VA #14 Warren County figure to battle it out for second. The Octoberfest Invitational, set for next weekend at Great Meadow, is no longer accepting any more teams as the meet has reached its capacity. If the school is not listed in the attached list, they will be deleted from the runhigh registration page.
