2013 MileStat.com Elite Track Classic Coverage

 

Virginia's largest high school outdoor track & field invitational gets underway on Friday at Sports Backers Stadium in Richmond with the fifth annual MileStat.com Elite Track Classic. This event is a major fundraiser for this website and is well attended and supported this year with over 1,700 athletes representing 100 different schools.

 

Matthew Zajac of E.C. Glass threw for a monster mark of 190'6" to easily shatter the MileStat.com Elite Track Classic meet record in the boys' discus to put a nice buffer between himself and the next best mark in the state of Virginia and move up to US #12 in the event. Zajac was a double champion this weekend after claiming the shot put title on Friday with a mark of 55'9.25".
