Senior newcomer Brett Frykberg (Jacksonville, Fla./Univ. of Tennessee) broke a Virginia Commonwealth school record and qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the high jump by leaping 6-10.75, Saturday afternoon, during the second day of competition at the Ram Invitational at the Richard A. Hollander Track and Field Facility at Sports Backers Stadium. Frykberg was the second VCU athlete to qualify for the NCAA Regionals during the meet. Sophomore Davion Lambert (Richmond, Va./Varina) qualified yesterday in the long jump with his leap of 24-4.50.

Senior Cheri Manning (Glen Allen, Va./J.R. Tucker) led the way for Virginia Commonwealth on day two of the Ram Invitational at the Richard A. Hollander Track and Field Facility at Sports Backers Stadium.
