SCHOOL AND INDIVIDUAL QUALIFYING LIMITS: Top 4 finishers in each event plus anyone who meets the statequalifying standard in the Regional meet, or in a sanctioned meet involving 10 or more teams (5 or more teams if fullyautomated timing is used). See VHSL Handbook Section 84 for additional qualifying criteria.
**ELIGIBLE TO STATE MEET for the 2021-2022 outdoor season: The Regional Director through the Mile statDatabase can verify performance into the state meet, their best time or performance achieved at any meet of 10 ormore teams (5 or more teams if fully automated timing is used) during the season for seeding purposes. Times andDistances achieved in Club meets or an unattached athlete cannot be used.
ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS: Coaches will enter their athletes by using milestat.com online entry service. All entries must besubmitted using FAT times. Failure to convert these entries by the director and/or coach will render the competitors ineligible. In the unlikely event that there is an issue with the download or that a mistake is made on the Milestat entry, youare required to complete the VHSL entry forms. VHSL forms should be submitted according to instructions given to you byyour Regional Director. Entry deadline is Sunday, May 29, 2022 by 12:00 Noon. NO SCRATCH DEADLINE! ONCE ANATHLETE IS ENTERED, HE/SHE IS DECLARED.
VENUE INFORMATION: Each facility includes an eight-lane track, high jump and pole vault setups, two sand pits forjumps, and a separate throws area for shot put, discus.
COACHES PASSES: Schools advancing 1 10 athletes will be provided 2 coaching passes. Schools advancing 11 or moreathletes will receive a third pass.
MEET FORMAT: Each classification will have a two-day meet as approved by the VHSL Executive Committee.
ADMISSION: Tickets are only available through Go Fan for $10 + $1.50 convience fee per ticket. No tickets will be soldat the gate. Online sales will begin on Monday, May 30, 2022 starting 8:00 AM at https://gofan.co/app/school/VHSL.Only VHSL approved passes will be accepted.
PARKING: Each venue has ample parking for the day. Please follow signs and parking attendant instructions. Moreinformation by site will be available in the near future.
RULES AND SCORING: NFHS Track and Field Rule for 2022 and the VHSL rules as stated in the VHSL handbook willbe observed. Scoring (Rule 2- Section 1-3) from the NFHS Track and Field Rules for 2022 will be followed.
TIMING: FAT timing will be used when scoring the meet. Finish Lynx Cameras will be set up at the finish line.
TEAM PACKETS: Available the day of the meet only. Packets will include a facility map, bib numbers, time schedule, andcoaches meeting agenda.
ATHLETIC TRAINERS: Certified athletic trainers will be available for limited services, located at the finish line. ATCs willbe stationed to assist injured athletes.
TENTS: Must be erected in designated areas only. More information will be provided in the near future.
DRESSING AREA: There will be no dressing area provided. Portable restrooms will be provided.
AWARDS: Team awards will be presented at a designated area to each head coach. More information will be provided ateach site on race day. Head Coaches should listen for a P.A. announcement as to the exact time team awards will bepresented.
STATE OUTDOOR TRACK T-SHIRTS & SWEATSHIRTS: T-Shirts (crew neck, short, & long sleeve) and sweatshirts willbe available in various styles. All athletes and/or spectators are expected to adhere to face covering and social distancingguidelines while in line.
